Trade War Escalates as U.S Prepares to Publish Additional Tariffs On Chinese Goods

 In Industry Insider, Industry News

The Trump Administration is escalating it’s trade war with China by threatening to add additional tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods.

The proposed additional 10% tariff would hit a number of Chinese products ranging from fish (including caviar for those who like to indulge in this delicacy), to handbags. The full list of items can be found here.

The proposal is subject to a public hearing scheduled between August 20 to August 23.

In response to this, China has said that it will take Mr. Trump’s “trade bullying” to the World Trade Organization which intervenes in trade disputes.
