What is a TMS?

A transportation management system (TMS) is an online platform which will assist you and your staff with the booking process of your Less than Truck Load supply chain. With the TBLTL portal, our solution will assist with time management, documentation, planning, forecasting and visibility.

Density vs. NMFC

There are two ways to classify freight within the LTL industry: Density or NMFC. The NMFC Classification has traditionally been the standard. At Trans-Border we are one of the few providers that have positioned ourselves with ability to provide density-based pricing.

Advantages:

  • End time-consuming disputes and negotiations
  • Balanced pricing model with greater transparency
  • Eliminate the guesswork
  • Prevent overcharges from carriers
  • Easier budgeting and forecasting
  • Streamlines packaging and eliminates waste
