NY/NJ Ports To Resume Operations – 2/1/16

After a walkout by the International Longshoremen’s Association members on Friday, Jan. 29th, the ports of New York and New Jersey are scheduled to resume operations today.  There is still no official reason as to why the surprise walkout occurred, however it is speculated that it was due to their unhappiness with the Waterfront Commission’s hiring of ILA members.

Throughout this week, there is likely to be long lines outside the terminals as they try to catch up from an already backlogged week.  If you have any questions regarding your shipments, please contact one of the below managers via email or by calling 800-493-9444.
