Welcome to Trans-Border, Nicholas Hladik!

 In Company News, New Hires

Everyone please give a warm welcome to the newest member of our domestic operations team — Nicholas Hladik! Nick will be entering the supply chain industry for the first time and is thrilled to learn all about it.

Nicholas is a Saratoga native who resides in nearby Schuylerville. A former college baseball catcher, Nicholas graduated from SUNY Canton with a degree in criminal justice. Following his undergraduate education, Nick began working for a national security services provider as an account manager. Nick worked on-site at a local chemical manufacturer assisting with security needs before being promoted to Operations manager, where he managed over 500 security professionals on a daily basis.

Nick’s family also owns and runs Pizza Etc., a pizza shop in Ballston Spa, which he continues to manage several nights a week. “I always need to be doing something,” Nick explains. “I don’t like idle hands.”

That attitude will behoove Nick here at Trans-Border as he dives into a completely new industry. “I’m excited for the new challenges and experiences,” he says, “I am eager to get moving in a fast-paced environment.” Nick goes on to explain that, so far, the comradery amongst colleagues has been fantastic and a welcome sight.

In his spare time, Nick is a huge Dungeons & Dragons player. Along with being a top-notch participant himself, Nick also acts a Dungeon Master for several groups and has put those skills to use for groups all around the country over the course of the pandemic. He is also a prolific writer, mostly focusing his writing skills on developing new campaigns, settings, and character arcs for D&D groups and companies.

Nick also loves riding his Harley as often as he can, including to festivals and meet-ups all over the country, and still finds time to umpire high school and college baseball.

We are very excited to welcome Nick to Trans-Border! Stop by Nick’s desk or drop them a welcome message at nhladik@tbgfs.com.
