Welcome to Trans-Border, Marc Godard!

 In Company News, New Hires

Please extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our sales team – Marc Godard! Marc comes to Trans-Border with years of freight sales experience and will represent our organization throughout the greater Chicago area and U.S. Midwest.

Marc, who currently resides in Chicago, did not begin his journey there. Marc is a native of Kansas City, MO, and attended Johnson County Community College on a golf scholarship where he studied turf management. Shortly after graduating college, Marc got bit by the entrepreneurial bug and opened several companies — including a landscaping management company and an organization that rented out party busses. At its peak, Marc’s party bus company had a fleet of six party vehicles!

In 2012, Marc’s network reached out to him with an opportunity to join the supply chain industry as a sales representative. He excelled quickly and was soon asked to relocate to the Chicago market.

“I am not one to shy away from the unknown,” Marc explains in regard to his new adventure at Trans-Border. “This is a brand-new avenue I’m excited to explore.” And he feels extremely welcomed since starting, explaining how available everyone has made themselves for him. “No questions have been turned away,” he shares.

City Through A Window

When he’s not on the clock, Marc fills his time with family, friends, and hobbies. One of his favorite hobbies is painting, specifically oil paint on canvas. One day in college he picked up his roommate’s painting tools, gave it a shot, and has been hooked ever since. He doesn’t have any specific subject he prefers to paint, instead indicating that if he can see the finished product before its done, then he paints it.

The painting to the right is one of Marc’s favorites titled City Through A Window. It is a refurbished old barn window which Marc salvaged and painted a cityscape onto.

We are very excited to welcome Marc to Trans-Border! His energy and zest for life will be a great addition to the team. Drop Marc a welcome message at mgodard@tbgfs.com.
