Lockdowns Expand Across India due to COVID-19
Additional states across India have followed suit and imposed new lockdown restrictions in response to rising cases of COVID-19 across the subcontinent. The Government of Karnataka State has announced a 14-day total lockdown that started on April 27.
A select number of industries have been deemed essential and will be permitted to remain operational with skeleton crews, including customs offices and airport terminals. Even so, we anticipate a slow in the operations due to restricted staff.
The new restrictions in Karnataka follow earlier lockdowns announced by Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi states.
