USTR Requests Comment on Extensions for List 2 Exclusions
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is seeking public comment regarding the extension of exclusions granted during the thirteenth round of Section 301 List 2 exclusions. This set of product exclusions are currently set to expire on October 2, 2020, and an extension would add another year of validity.
Comments can be submitted through a web portal at https://comments.ustr.gov/. To be assured of consideration, written comments must be submitted by July 30, 2020.
The focus of USTR’s evaluation will be whether the particular product remains available only from China. In addition, USTR will consider whether the imposition of additional duties will result in severe economic harm to the commenter or other U.S. interests.
