USTR Releases Product Exclusions for Medical Products on List 4A
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) released a set of product exclusions for certain medical products in Section 301 List 4A.
The new set of tariff exclusions contain five (5) HTS subheadings completely excluded and seven (7) partially excluded subheadings, covering 36 separate requests.
This round of exclusions will retroactively apply to all List 3 products meeting the specified criteria effective September 1, 2019 up through September 1, 2020. As was the case with previous exclusions, importers with eligible products are able to claim exemption under the new exclusions regardless of whether the importer filed an exclusion request.
