USTR Extends Exclusions on Certain List 1 and 2 Products

Categories: ,

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced extensions on certain product exclusions for Section 301 List 1 and List 2 products from China.

For the List 1 products, the announcement extends the product exclusions on 1 HTS subheading completely excluded and 8 subheadings partially excluded from 25% tariffs.

For the List 2 products, the announcement extends the product exclusions on 28 HTS subheadings partially excluded from 25% tariffs.

Both rounds of exclusions will retroactively apply to all List 1 and List 2 products meeting the specified criteria effective October 2, 2020 up through December 31, 2020.

As was the case with previous exclusions, importers with eligible products are able to claim exemption under the exclusions regardless of whether the importer filed an exclusion request.

You can view the full notice from USTR for List 1 here and List 2 here.

Trans-Border will continue to monitor the situation. If you have any questions, please reach out to Bill Carey, Import Compliance Manager, at bcarey@tbgfs.com or (800) 493-9444.
