USTR Extends Exclusions on Certain COVID-19 Medical Products

Categories: ,

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) extended Section 301 product exclusions on certain medical products.

In March 2020, the USTR requested public comment on possible modifications to remove Section 301 duties from medical-care products to address the COVID-19 outbreak. This notice announces the determinations from those comments, including extending exclusions and removing tariffs on certain medical-care products.

These exclusions will go into effect January 1, 2021, and run through March 31, 2021.

You can view the full notice from USTR and list of exclusions here.

Trans-Border will continue to monitor the situation. If you have any questions, please reach out to Bill Carey, Import Compliance Manager, at bcarey@tbgfs.com or (800) 493-9444.
