US Suspends GSP Status on $1.3 Billion Worth of Goods from Thailand
Last year, President Trump issued a Presidential Proclamation withdrawing the duty-free treatment on $1.3 billion worth of goods from Thailand under the Generalize System of Preferences (GSP). The GSP gives status to developing countries to grant them easier access to US markets, including allowing the import of many goods duty-free.
That Proclamation went into effect on April 25, 2020, and a list of products excluded from GSP eligibility for Thailand can be found here.
