United Kingdom set to leave European Union Tonight at 11 PM GMT
The United Kingdom (UK) will formally leave the European Union (EU) at 11:00 PM GMT today, January 31. U.S. companies exporting to the U.K. will not be affected by this action at this time.
The UK will enter an 11-month transition period during which they will continue to obey the rules of and pay money to the EU. The U.K. will also begin negotiating new trade deals with other nations during this time, with all new deals set to be finalized by December 2020.
