Categories: , ,

On Friday, March 20, the United States announced it had agreed to close its border with Mexico to all non-essential travel due to the COVID-19 infection. As was with the closure of the U.S.-Canada border, the administration clarified that trade will not be affected.

During the press conference Friday where the closure was announced, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo indicated that the border closures with Mexico and Canada would last 30 days. The Department of Homeland Security will begin to enforce the closure at midnight tonight.
