First Round of Section 301 List 1 Product Exclusions Set to Expire, Some Extended
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced that only 6 (six) products granted exclusions from the first round of Section 301 List 1 product exclusions will be granted extensions.
The first round of List 1 exclusions is set to expire on December 28, 2019. The six identified products granted extensions will retain their exclusionary status from additional tariffs for another year (December 28, 2020).
It appears from USTR’s failure to mention the remaining 15 HTS codes granted exclusions in the first round will result in a loss of those product’s exclusionary status on December 28, 2019.
