Extreme Congestion at Terminals/Ports Across China

Categories: , , ,

Our international offices in China are reporting extreme congestion at loading terminals across the country, the most extreme of which at the Port of Yantian. We are experiencing delays on US imports from China due to this congestion.

Please see a below a video and several images received from our office which illustrate the days-long lines trucks are waiting in at port terminals.

While space on ocean vessels has been tight for months due to a worldwide container shortage and COVID-related staffing issues, the rush by Chinese manufacturers to get their exports to port before the Chinese New year has greatly exacerbated the congestion we are experiencing.

Trans-Border will continue to monitor this developing situation and provide updates as needed. If you have any questions, please reach out to at info@tbgfs.com or (800) 493-9444.
