Exclusion Process Soon Ending for Section 301 List 3

Categories: ,

Please be aware that all Section 301 List 3 exclusion requests are due by Monday, September 30, 2019.

On June 30, 2019, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) began accepting exclusion requests for Section List 3 tariffs via an online portal. Submissions can be adjusted and/or resubmitted within 14 days of posting and requesters will be allotted 7 days from time of receipt to reply to comments on their request.

Granted exclusions will retroactively apply to all products meeting the criteria effective September 24, 2018 — the date the U.S. first imposed a 10 percent tariff increase on $200 billion of Chinese products.

If assistance is required, Trans-Border is here to help you navigate through the Section 301 tariff process. If you have any questions or require further information, please reach out to Bill Carey, Import Compliance Manager, at bcarey@tbgfs.com or (800) 493-9444.
