Chinese New Year Extended Due to Coronavirus

The Chinese government has decided to extend its Lunar New Year holiday in an effort to contain the spreading coronavirus. Businesses and organizations will remain closed across China until February 3, and the cities of Shanghai and Ningbo will remain closed until February 10.

Delays and stoppages are and will continue to be seen across the supply chain due to quarantine activities.

The coronavirus, a deadly respiratory infection, has wreaked havoc across China and the world claiming over 100 lives and infecting a reported nearly 5,000 people. Cases have been confirmed across Asia, North America, and Australia, with five confirmed cases in the U.S.
