Industry Insider : Agreement Finalized for Ontario, Canada’s Local Trucker’s Strike
It has been announced that a deal has been reached between the Container Truckers Association of Ontario (CTAO) and local container trucking companies to end the stand-off that has plagued the flow of commerce in and out of Ontario terminal and rail yards.
The agreement was finalized between the two parties late last evening, which is said to include provisions of a “fair percentage increase in rates” for the first time in 10 years, as well as addressing terminal wait times.
We expect container movement to rebound and gain momentum over the coming days. Trans-Border, as always, will continue to work with its local Ontario partners to ensure containers move in and out of local terminals and rail yards as quickly and efficiently as possible.
