On February 3, 1997, Trans-Border Global Freight Systems, Inc. opened their doors for the very first time.
6 people got together with a few folding tables, a couple of typewriters and phones, 3 computers and one shared vision – to provide the best customer service to their clients and have fun doing it!
In the first few months they expanded their network and built an agent business department, a few years later customs brokerage moved in-house, and since then they have come to offer multiple services including compliance training and consulting. Jeff Millens, Marty Hellwig, and Josh Spiegel have steered the ship since ’97 and continue to push the company forward. All the partners are excited about the possibilities on the horizon to continue growing the business.
Trans-Border has a long history of shared joy! From the annual Halloween costume contests, holiday luncheons, BBQs, and the little moments in-between, the team loves to laugh and have fun with each other. It is clear that the partners have been committed to creating a space where positive energy and relationship building are top priorities.
25 years later and here we are. 6 people turned into 60, the technology we use has improved greatly (the typewriters are still out in the warehouse just in case!), we have faced many challenges (the biggest being a world-wide pandemic), but one thing has remained – the desire to provide the best service to our customers while fostering an environment of love, kindness, and respect.
