Siridhun “Milly” Ferrara: Export Operations

 In Company News, New Hires

Milly FerraraThroughout Women’s History Month, we are highlighting a few of our outstanding colleagues and their accomplishments. The operations staff at Trans-Border are the company’s beating heart, ensuring our client’s merchandise moves safely around the world every day. This week, we would like to highlight one of our outstanding operations staff — Siridhun “Milly” Ferrara.

Milly’s Trans-Border story begins in her hometown of Bangkok, Thailand. Shortly after graduating university, Milly secured a position as an au pair for a family located in nearby Saratoga Springs, NY. She spent the next year as a caregiver, and then the following several more working in housekeeping and catering.

In 2015, Milly finally landed here at Trans-Border in our legacy air export department. She quickly excelled, moving to exporting pricing for a time before settling in her current role as an export operations specialist. Each day, Milly is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of our customer’s merchandise out of the U.S. to destinations all over the world.

“The people and the teamwork” are the best parts of working here, Milly shares. “We are all very supportive of each other.” She goes on to reflect on her professional growth, indicating that, since beginning her time at Trans-Border, she has become much more strategic in her actions and developed project management skills she never had before.

After Milly wrangles control of the chaos at work, she heads home to her husband, two children, and little dog. Milly shared that she likes to start each day with a small success. Whether it means getting up early to take the dog for a walk or making the bed, she feels it’s critical to set up your day for success. Next up for Milly is running a half marathon. “I’m unclear on how it will go, but I am determined.”

We believe in you, Milly! Thank you for your outstanding work and dedication.

P.S. Milly was part of the team that won this year’s Halloween Costume contest! Check out her and colleague Karen dressed as Georgie and Pennywise!
