Welcome to Trans-Border, Stephanie Weissman!
We would like to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our Import Operations department – Stephanie Weissman! This is Steph’s first foray into freight forwarding and she is thrilled about the challenges ahead.
Steph comes to Trans-Border with 15 years of experience working first as a teller, and then a branch manager, for various local financial institutions. Along with Steph’s significant professional experience, she is also a stellar student – holding both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, the latter an M.S. in School Counseling from Long Island University.
“I love puzzles,” Steph begins, “problem solving has always been a passion of mine.” Luckily, from import compliance to customs duties, Steph has had no shortage of puzzles since starting at Trans-Border. “I’m learning so much new information,” Steph explains, including Trans-Border’s new CargoWise system. “It’s like a game of hide and seek, locating all the pieces and putting them together.”
As Steph gets settled into her role in a new industry, she hopes to keep doing what she loves, including barre classes, crocheting, and reading. She is a voracious reader and loves contemporary fiction novels, especially those from writers like J.R. Ward and Lauren Willig.
“The whole group here really acts as a unit,” Steph shares, going on to describe the support she’s felt from her teammates in the import department.
Steph is on #TeamBlue in imports, so stop by and say hi!
