Welcome to Trans-Border, Damien Jarrett!
We would like to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our sales team – Damien Jarrett! Damien comes to Trans-Border with nearly a decade of freight forwarding experience and will represent our organization throughout New England.
Damien hails from Rochester, England, a town not too far outside London, and now resides in Salem, MA. Damien got his first taste of logistics while he was still in the UK, working both in the operations and sales departments of a major freight forwarder. However, a few years after meeting his America-based wife, Damien made the move to the U.S. and settled in Massachusetts. Now, in his new role, Damien will apply his skills and experience to expanding Trans-Border’s reach deeper into the New England region.
“I’m most excited to be able to offer a one-stop shop to my clients,” Damien explains. He goes on to describe that, at other forwarders, his client’s costs would rise as he was forced to outsource more and more of the project. Now, with Trans-Border’s comprehensive, in-house capabilities, he feels he is able to bring a new level of business efficiency to his clients.
Damien enters a supportive environment at Trans-Border and is eager for the challenge ahead. In his youth, Damien cycled competitively and for charitable fundraising efforts. One time he cycled 100 miles in under 5 hours, consistently moving at more than 20 miles per hour throughout the race. He now applies this drive to his work, always striving to improve.
In his spare time, Damien enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs. He has also coached high school football for nearly a decade, now serving as an assistant coach on Salem High School’s Varsity football program.
If there’s anything Damien wants you to know about him, it’s that he definitely and matter-of-factly does not drink tea. He says his accent often betrays him, but he is firmly on team coffee and wants all the readers to know that not all Brits drink tea.
We are very excited to have you, Damien! Drop Damien a welcome message or stop by his desk next time he’s at headquarters.
