Meet Our Intern — Chris Jupin
Each summer, Trans-Border invites local students and post-grads to our office to learn from and contribute to our growing business activities. This year, we were lucky to have Chris Jupin intern at our headquarters for six weeks.
Chris comes to Trans-Border as a rising senior at Clarkson University studying global supply chain and project management. Amidst his studies, Chris also plays on Clarkson’s NCAA Division III soccer team and started his own small business. By the end of his junior year, Chris’ drive, entrepreneurial spirit, and leadership skills led him straight to Trans-Border.
During his short time at our headquarters, Chris was introduced to every one of our departments — from operations to sales and everything in between. While working within each team, Chris was able to apply and build upon the skills he’s learned in the classroom, on the field, and within his own business.
Prior to beginning his internship, Chris learned about third-party logistics during his studies, but had never really considered pursuing it for a career. That’s all changed now. “I’d love to work within pricing or sales,” Chris explains, “utilizing both my communication and technical skills.” Chris isn’t exactly sure where he will end up after graduation but hopes to find a role within the supply chain industry. “I had no idea I would end up loving supply chain as much as I do,” he concludes.
We want to thank Chris for his contributions to our company this spring and wish him the best of luck in his senior year!
