Hanjin Shipping Reportedly to File for Bankruptcy

Dear Valued Partners & Clients,

Aug. 31st, 2016 – It has been reported through various media outlets that Hanjin Shipping, a global ocean carrier based out of South Korea, will be applying for court receivership. This means that Hanjin Shipping, at the current time, has stopped operating and will not be moving containerized cargo within its network.
Hanjin_SpainDue to these extraordinary measures, other ocean carriers that are in the CKYHE alliance, which Hanjin is a member of and which allows for member carriers to load cargo on other partner vessels, are working on measures to respond to this critical situation. Hanjin Shipping is planning on making an official announcement on September 5, 2016. Trans-Border is continuing to monitor the situation and will adjust its operations as need be to ensure your cargo is not affected by this recent event.  Should you have any questions, please contact one of the below listed managers via email or by calling 800-493-9444 who will be able to assist accordingly.
