Hanjin Bankruptcy – No Clear Answers Yet

In Breaking News, Industry Insider, Trans-Border Global Freight Systems, Inc.

Dear Valued Partners & Clients,

Sept 6, 2016 – As supply chains continue to suffer in the face of Hanjin Shipping’s bankruptcy, reports are surfacing of a possible emergency aid package – which would also be partly funded through its Chairman’s personal assets, to help the ocean carrier pay it’s mounting bills.

As you may have heard, many Hanjin vessels, as well as Hanjin containers stowed on alliance member vessels, have been refused entry into ports around the world or have been denied unloading due to fears that ports would not get paid.

920x920This has created huge supply chain issues, as many cargo owners are on edge in terms of when to expect their cargo…not to mention the potential costs involved.

At this time, discussions are still taking place to determine how Hanjin will move forward in this dire situation. While we understand that many of you are concerned about your shipments that are under the custody of Hanjin, Trans-Border Global Freight Systems, Inc. will continue to monitor the situation closely as well as to provide updates as soon as a clearer picture is determined.
